I've got the day off on the Friday. Hoping to get down reasonably early to walk the test...it always helps to see my crash sites in advance Laughing . I spoke to Mike the other night and he said Sarah had booked the Indian. Wouldn't think it would be a problem to add you if she hasn't already done it. What hotel are you in? We're at the Heatherlie.

I'll be there no doubt - had planned to do both days but I have a wedding to attend on the Sunday. Hoping for sun for about a week or so before hand. Would be nice if they had the same test as last year.

Looking forward to the soup and cakes in the village hall most of all tho!!

Expecting between 2" & 4" of rain today in borders.

Here's hoping it's not cancelled as per last year.

It's not raining at Selkirk, if anything I believe dust and bright sunshine will be the main problem over the weekend. Laughing Laughing Laughing

See you all there. Planning on getting down at a reasonable time on Friday to surf the test Wink

I'm number 155 - entered both days.
If you see a KTM200 at speed without a rider - I'll be nearby!

Entered with only thoughts of going very well indeed.
Good result in the West Linton Hare & Hounds and learned loads at the Melville training day.
For the first 20 minutes was going exactly to plan - then a simple but stoney climb through some trees - back end came round throwing me right onto a boulder catching me in the kidney area. Winded me and knocked me for 6. Thanks to the riders who helped me back to my feet.
Thought about giving up there and then but after 10 minutes - deceided to get going again.
Later on in the lap, came up behind an older bloke on a Yamaha 125. Don't know his number but he was taking some superb lines through the difficult stuff and basically I followed him and he nursed me to the finish unknowlingy.
Managed to get to the end - well over time and despite being under the hour, found the special lap was closed off so just returned to the finish.
Pain was too bad to take part on the Sunday.
Stupid when one mistake wiped out the whole weekend.
Track was fantastic though and the thought of missing the Sunday is as bad as the injury.
Thanks to the riders who picked me up, cleaned up the bike and set me on my way - there's some top bloke out there.
Roll on Elgin.

Another 2 DNF's Crying or Very sad Having a real bad season.

Day 1: 1st lap..loads of stupid falls, 2nd lap riding better but one fall on a rocky climb broke a clutch lever, then the screw that holds the clamp for the clutch master cylinder/lever assy went AWOL. Cable ties did a working repair. Went out for my third lap 56 minutes into my hour but riding well and confident of staying within my hour. Got a front wheel puncture around 1/3 distance and limped home to a DNF.

Day 2: Took a tumble on a rocky climb & trashed the clutch lever bracket, tried the cable tie repair again but kept losing clutch so less than a lap for the weekends second DNF.

All in all a lousy weekend Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Must agree - fell far too often also.
Lucky there was no bike damage though.
The 2 big climbs were just superb but the downhill between the climbs had dug up very badly on the 2nd lap onwards. Trying to stop heading downhill was pretty scary!!!

Hi Peepod,

It was nice to put a face to the name. Weekend was dismal but less than three weeks to Lossie so hopefully I'll have a better day there. How did your weekend go?
