After four rounds of the 2008 Scottish Enduro Championship GMCC riders are leading the top classes of the championship. 7 times Scottish Champion Richard Hay is in great form as is 3 times Scottish Champion Derek Little. These 2 riders top the expert class and are seperated by 1 point. Richard and Derek also won their respective classes at GMCC’s, very well received, British Championship Round in March that took place in Lossie & Monaughty forests with Woodside hosting a spectacular special test.
In the highly competitive Over 40 class, championship winner over the previous 3 seasons, Sean Wooley is racing as hard as ever and after 4 rounds is in joint 1st place. Anyone who thinks the Over 40 class is for those who want to take it easy has obviously never seen these guys ride and Sean rides as hard as any!
The clubman class has been given a real boost with Fraser Norrie finally old enough to ride enduros. After 4 rounds Fraser already has a 24 point lead overall and in the E1 class has had three 1st places and a 2nd giving him a 17 point lead. The fact that Fraser has done so well in his first few events should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed his moto-cross career to date. No doubt a few experts will be looking over their shoulders.
Hopefully, these top GMCC riders will maintain their positions and make 2008 another great year for the club. _________________ Never argue with a fool. They will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience...
